My New Zealand Diary

I arrived in New Zealand in May 2019 to pursue my PhD. Soon after settling in, the global pandemic of coronavirus struck. There was a unique blend of feeling both restricted and liberated throughout most of the pandemic in NZ. Despite the closure of international borders, there were no limitations on exploring the little piece of heaven on earth called, Aotearoa (in Maori it means "land of the long white cloud").
